This is where my faith anchors me. I do not believe I am just drifting through life. I am part of a bigger, sovereign plan.
I believe with my whole heart that nothing in life is random. Everything has a purpose. Every detail — whether small, unnoticed, or life-altering — happens for a specific reason. Coincidences do not exist in my world. The people who come into your life, whether they stay for years or only a brief season, are meant to be there. Some will encourage you, others will challenge you, and still others will break you in ways you never expected. But all of them leave fingerprints on your soul and shape the person you are becoming.
Every moment you spend with people affects you. Sometimes it’s the joy they bring, and sometimes it’s the pain they leave behind. But even in loss, rejection, or betrayal, there is growth. Our accomplishments may feel like milestones, but it’s often our failures that carve out wisdom, humility, and resilience. Success makes us smile, but failure makes us grow. The lessons you gain from falling are often more valuable than the rewards you receive from winning.
There will be times when life feels unfair — moments that crush you, seasons that test your strength, nights that leave you weeping in silence. At the time, it feels unbearable. But later, when you look back, you realize those painful chapters carried hidden treasures. Without those storms, your perspective would be shallow. Without those struggles, your faith would be fragile. Without those disappointments, your character would be incomplete.
The truth is, we are molded by what we survive. The mistakes we make, the scars we carry, and the hardships we overcome become the building blocks of the person we are today. I know for sure that if even one painful moment of my past was removed, I would not be the same man I am now. That is why I cannot call them accidents. They were divine assignments.
This is where my faith anchors me. I do not believe I am just drifting through life. I am part of a bigger, sovereign plan. There is comfort in knowing that the God who created the universe has written my story with intention. He wastes nothing. The tears, the victories, the losses, and even the detours are all part of His design. That’s why I can say with confidence: I am right where I am supposed to be.
The church I attend, the school I went through, the friends and family I have around me — none of these are by chance. If one piece were missing, my entire journey would look different. Even the smallest decisions carry a ripple effect, changing the course of your life in ways you can’t imagine. That’s why we must walk with wisdom and faith, knowing that even when things don’t go our way, God is still at work.
Life moves fast, and it rarely looks exactly like we thought it would. There are seasons of joy, but also valleys of pain. Yet, if you can learn to search for the hidden good in the middle of the storm, you will discover a peace that surpasses understanding. When people are hurting, they often ask: “Why is this happening to me?” The truth is, not every answer will come immediately. Sometimes the answer is hidden in time. Sometimes the answer is in what you become after the storm.
So, what do I believe? I believe that everything — the people, the seasons, the struggles, the victories — has a purpose. Everyone you meet, every hardship you endure, and every blessing you receive is tied to a bigger picture. We may not always see it now, but when you trust the One writing the story, you know nothing is wasted.
